Which will no doubt come as no surprise whatsoever given that the site hasn't been updated since 2001, the reason for the officiala announcement of the death of Flum is to let you know that the spirit lives on in a new site called Talent in a Previous Life which is basically the same sort of thing as would appear in Flumcake, but with the added bonus that it actually gets updated on a regular basis, so change your bookmarks to http://talentinapreviouslife.blogspot.com and let the glory of mediocrity that is Flum re-enter your life once again.

ELECTION SPECIAL - Update 1 - Tuesday 8th May
Welcome to the Flumcake On-Line election special. The only place on the internet to find ill-informed opinions, badly thought out satire and poor quality comment on all the events that happen during the General Election 2001.
Throughout the campaign we will be struggling to update the site often enough to keep up todate with the cut and thrust of the debate, struggling so much we'll probably give up and resort to pointing out that William Hague is bald, and therefore funny by definition. Until we lower ourselves to that level, here's what's in this update:-
A spokesman for the Labour Party today admitted that the only point of calling the election was to get the bloody Lighthouse Family taken off the air for a month. He said "Yeah, as the radio stations aren't allowed to show bias they can't play anythng that we're using as an election theme song. We were going to use S-Club 7, but it turned out that Jack Straw was a big fan, so we decided to use Lighthouse Family and Lifted instead. Everyone hates that, even Tony and he claims to like everything. What a blissful month we'll have ahead of us.
Feel free to e-mail us at election@flumcake.freeserve.co.uk with anything you think might be interesting or relevant.
Here's what's on the rest of the Flumcake site.
ArticlesIn which we express our opinions on the important issues of the day, craft amusing fantastical situations, offer critical analyis of various cultural entities. Oh, OK then, we just talk a lot of rubbish, like the rest of the site.
From my Head Right Down to My Silvery Boots - BANG! See, you didn't expect that did you. That's cause we don't know what's going to happen in the future, unless you read our officially authenticiated guide to the future. Guaranteed true or your money back.
Basically here we take the top 10 in the UK singles chart and slag off all the bands in it. It's not big, it's not clever, but it is something we can update every week and pretend to be topical with. And that can only be a good thing.
VyVyan are a very good band, and this section of the site is dedicated to them. Don't worry if you've never heard of them though, it's still funny, well, as funny as Flumcake ever gets, even if you don't get all the references. And if you want to get all the references then why not buy their debut album Teenage Wannabes. It's really good.
As usual you can still visit the old pages here. If you want to join the Flumcake On-line Mailing List and be kept updated when we do updates then send an e-mail to flumcake@flumcake.freeserve.co.uk.
