Epiphany's Bloody Wound Recipe |
|
|
If you do this right,
it can look so real, that it can fake-out
medical professionals (did this at work...boy was it funny! Until
the work nurse went white and started with the chest pains. But
hey...there was a certain bit of humor in that, too!)
Ingredients:
Kleenex
Red Food Coloring
Knox Gelatin
Put the kleenex in a microwaveable
bowl. Drench it with the red
food coloring. Nuke it in the microwave--about a minute, I think.
It should be stiff, but not crumble at your touch.
Mix up a couple of spoons of
gelatin with about as much water, to
make the consistency of a paste. Now, work quickly--that shit
turns to rubber real quick. Smear the paste on your skin where
you want the wound. Tear off a piece of the kleenex and lay it
on the gelatin. Smooth it around the edges...crinkle it up a
bit
in the middle to make it look like burned/wounded flesh. You
may have
to add a drop or so of food coloring to the wound. Also, a drop
or
two of mustard can add a pus effect. I said "pus" heh
heh...sorry.

Epiphany's
Fake Vomit...Now With Chunks! |
|
|
Mix up a load of that Knox
gelatin stuff. Add a bunch of colors of
food coloring to get a brown or whatever color. Pour it out onto
your kitchen counter, but make sure you've laid down some wax
paper
or Glad Wrap first. Chew up some vegetables a bit for realism
and
spit them into the gelatin. Let it dry, peel it up, and voila'!
Fake vomit. Little boys love this one, and the wound (above).

Carving Tips
from Jack T. Ripper |
|
|
Tip
Numero Uno--On parts of the pumpkin,
don't carve it all the way
through. Carve the outside layer off, but leave a very thin inner
layer. This will create a cool effect, like light shining thru
a
lampshade.
Tip Numero Dos--For real intricate carve jobs, there's an easy
way
of doing it. Tape a paper pattern onto the pumpkin. Using an
ice pick or similar tool, poke holes thru the paper and pumpkin,
following the lines of the pattern. Remove the pattern, and
using a knife with a small (preferably serrated) blade, cut
from dot to dot. Start cutting from the inside of the pattern
and work your way out, or else pressure from cutting the outside
can
cause the inner part of the pumpkin to cave. This is apparently
the
method peeps use to make those really elaborate carvings.
