;Episode IV, Toby and the Dogs of Destruction
(Part i)

In a galaxy far far away, a long long time ago, there was a cat! Not just any cat, but a Space cat. Banished from his home in 1994 he has wondered the galaxy looking for a family and some one to love, Oh and he can not die.

After repast events Toby thought it better to stay at home and keep out of trouble. Little did he know that soon his like would be anything but peaceful.

It was while he was at home resting that he received news of a small group of people in need of his help. Toby did not wait; he rushed to his ship and sped across the galaxy to where the people needed him. He arrived on the planet Grolpoozik and o leaving his ship was met by...no one. Toby was very disappointed as this was the first time any one had ever asked for his help, and no one was there to meet him.

The planet was desolate, with dry cracked soil under foot and the burning hot sun above. Toby thought (ouch) it best to wonder around and see if he could find anyone. For what seemed like hours Toby wondered around looking for any signs of life on this dessert like planet. Things were looking grim until...

Toby noticed a small group of trees in the distance. Toby wondered to see if any one was there sheltering from the sun under the shade of the tall trees. When he arrived he could see no one and giving up hope of finding anyone was about to return to his ship when he heard a small voice from the trees. Looking up saw a small face looking out from within the branches. A small ladder fell from the tree and Toby climbed up.

When in the tree Toby was amazed by what he saw, a whole village of little people were living in the trees. The little people soon explained that they had taken refuge in the trees from two creatures that had terrorised their planet and ruined what was once a beautiful place. Toby was shocked and promised to rid the little people of their terrible enemy, but first it was time for him to get some sleep, as he very tired after all that walking.

And so it was that Toby settled down, perched on a branch and went to sleep. He awoke to the annoying sound of wind whistling past his ears, and it was then he noticed he had fallen off his branch and was tumbling to the ground. He quickly hit the hard cold ground and went to get up. When he noticed he could not his leg was broken! Crawling around on the floor and wailing as loud as he possibly could to wake the rest of the tree dwellers. When they noticed Toby they quickly descended the tree to help poor Toby. He was then picked up and hauled up the tree in a basket. At the top of the tree the little people bandaged Toby's leg and told him he must rest.

Toby did not like the idea of having to rest and so was constantly moving around dragging himself along the floor. The tree people felt that in order for Toby to recover he must be caged so that he could not move around and do himself more damage. And so it was that Toby was put into "The Cage of Eternal Boredom" to recover his broken leg.

Toby did not like his cage and with nothing to do he wailed and meowed as loud and as often as he possibly could. Three months passed and still Toby was in his cage, he was angry and frustrated as all around him was vast space and he was stuck in "The Cage of Eternal Boredom". The tree people were angry as they had not slept properly for months due to Toby's noise and still they were being terrorised by "The Dogs of Destruction".

It was then decided that it would be best if Toby was aloud out of his cage and able to exercise for half an hour everyday when the Dogs of destruction were not around. This would help build up his leg muscles and possible shut him up during the nights.

Toby enjoyed his short walks and so every day when it was safe he was aloud out of his cage and down the tree to exercise his leg. And every day his leg grew stronger and Toby wanted to stay out longer, yet the tree people only ever gave him half an hour saying it was not safe to stay out any longer.

On day when after his walk and after he was put back into his cage, Toby wanted to go out again so much he managed to convince a young tree dweller to open his cage and let him stretch properly in the tree. The young tree dweller agreed and opened Toby's cage.

Later when no tree dwellers were around Toby let down the ladder and went for a short walk, by himself...

to be continued....
