a rather unaccepted genre (Gabrielle/Joxer romance), I still got a bunch
of letters telling me how good my story was. Well, I improve dramatically
as the stories go, so even if this one doesn't take you as a masterpiece,
the following sequels make the effort worthwhile.
Synopsis: Artemis consoles a lovelorn Ares and warns him of his family's concern over his seeming obsession with Xena. Meanwhile, Xena takes Joxer under her wing to teach him a few things about defending himself. It so happens Gabrielle ends up teaching him a few things about life as well... |

I have *ever* written, but people have told me it's also been one of the
best. It took me a whopping 10 months to complete, which is a lot

I wasn't too happy with the reports from the episodes I was waiting to
see so I want ahead and wrote this. Discrepancies can be blamed on
the fact that I'm an Aussie and I'm about six months behind. But
you have to give me the benefit that my heart is in it :) Enjoy.
Synopsis: Xena and Gabrielle, meeting up with Joxer after parting ways, find him depressed and alone in a tavern, still very much affected by his first kill. Xena must leave on a mission, and Gabrielle stays with Joxer. Can she pull him from his depression? Can her way of peace help Joxer? How can her new way help in the face of violent adversity? |

Forward: This one was hard - real hard!
Since all our heroes are wandering sorts, I thought - hmmm, how to tie
in a song about home with these three. But, focusing on Joxer
and Gabrielle (post-India) I think I did okay.
Synopsis: Gabrielle comes home to attend Lila's wedding to a nearby farmer, and a part of her feels her life ticking away with only heartbreak and the scars of the past to show for it. When Joxer accidentally intrudes on her meditation session, they both learn some things about eachother they didn't know before. |
