FLO'S MUM
Flo's Mum is never seen in the panels of the comic. She is always in another room or just off to the side. She never misses an opportunity to have a go at Andy, a constant torment with her snide comments. She believes Flo should never have married Andy and tries to encourage Flo to leave.
She enjoys gossip more than Flo and always reports Andy's goings on to Flo.
Many comics including Flo's Mum have a basis in common mother-in-law jokes. Andy says "she picks up more dirt with her telephone than her vacuum cleaner."
