The barmaids are an integral part of who Andy Capp is. He spends som much time in the pub, that he also spends a lot of time with the barmaids. The barmaids treat Andy with varying degrees of affection and/or revulsion.
They tend to get a little upset when Andy forgets which pub he is in and calls them by the wrong name. Flo is very quick to check out any new barmaids, and try to assess the amount of trouble Andy is likely to get into.
